Hey everyone! Today we’re going to talk in-depth about crochet terminology and all of the different abbreviations you’ve likely seen in patterns.

If you’re new to crocheting and you’re trying to read your first pattern (congratulations!!), chances are you’re a bit intimidated by all those tricky abbreviations! I made a post that explains how to read a basic crochet pattern if you want to start there.

If you do know your way around a pattern but not all of the abbreviations quite yet, or if you’re an experienced crocheter who just needs a refresher, consider this list the ultimate cheat sheet!
