Hey everyone!
I have some super exciting news: in just a few days I’m going to be launching my YouTube channel and starting a series on how to crochet for beginners!
So if you’ve ever wanted to learn how to crochet but didn’t know where to start, rest assured that you’re in the right place.
I’m thrilled to launch the first lesson in this How to Crochet tutorial series, as this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time now. I’m going to be posting video tutorials on my YouTube channel as well as photo tutorials here on my blog that you can use to follow along with the videos so everything is clear!
Whether you’re brand new to crocheting or you just need a little refresher, this series will guide you step by step to becoming a confident crocheter.
What you’ll learn in Lesson 1
So let’s break down everything you can expect to learn in the first lesson.
Understanding crochet hooks and yarn
I’ll explain which hooks and yarn are the easiest to use and why when you’re just starting out. Choosing the right materials as a beginner is an important step to success.
How to hold your hook and yarn
I’ll explain how to find a comfortable grip that works for you and how to maintain even tension.
Making a slip knot
This simple knot is the very first step in pretty much any crochet project!
Making a chain stitch
And finally, you’re going to learn how to make your very first crochet stitch: the chain stitch. This stitch is a staple in pretty much every crochet project.
Keep an eye out!
Make sure you check back often in the next few days! The video and photo tutorials both should be out by next weekend so make sure you’re subscribed to receive updates.
Hope to see you on my channel!!
